Safire Sun consists of 6 highly qualified individuals.
Darell Sanson, featured on mandolin, lead, tenor and baritone vocals. He has been a part of legendary bluegrass bands, such as The Country Gentlemen, Jimmy Martin, The Sunny Mountain Boys and The Bluegrass Alliance.
Yvonne Sanson, daughter of Darell, on rhythm guitar, sings lead and harmony vocals. She worked as a singer/songwriter and landed the opportunity to co-write the Randy Travis song "America Will Always Stand", written about the 9/11 tragedy.
Allie Dible, plays rhythm guitar, sings lead and harmony vocals. At the age of 9, she was awarded the opportunity to perform with the Knox County Choraliers, along with the legendary John Denver at the Palace Theater in Columbus, Ohio. She has also written two of the original tunes on Safire Sun's debut CD.

Brittany Sanson Hickey, Darell's youngest daughter, plays bass and sings backup vocals. She has performed with the famed Ralph Stanley Bluegrass Festival with Judy Marshall of the legendary Marshall Family, and other national bluegrass festivals as well.
Ethan Whitehair, nephew of Darell Sanson. At 10 years of age, Ethan plays guitar, mandolin and fiddle. Ethan has an amazing success story, as he was born with Goldenhar Syndrome, is legally blind (he plays by ear), has had numerous surgeries, but he hasn't let that deter him from doing what he loves most which is performing. He is definitely the crowd pleaser and it is so inspiring watching the talent of this little guy. He sings as a lead vocalist and harmony vocals. Ethan receives a standing ovation singing GOD BLESS THE USA at Butler Elementary in Butler, Ohio (Clear Fork School District), as the school honors our nation's Veterans. Playing guitar along with Ethan is Darell Sanson. His performance can be seen here: Ethan singing God Bless The USA.
Marty Townsend, he began his musical career at the age of 4. He plays bass, guitar, mandolin, banjo and even a little fiddle. He is a music teacher and songwriter. Marty has played bass for the Townsend Brothers, Jim Dutton and Lawrence Lane (Kentucky Grass), The Marshall Family, Clover Willis, The Challengers, the HeeHaw Road Show back-up band, John Conlee and many other country and bluegrass artists. In 1974, Marty joined the Bluegrass Alliance, a band consisting of Lonnie Pierce, Garland Shuping, Danny Wiley, and Darell Sanson, traveling throughout the US at various venues.
